My Fourth of July manicure. The true sparkliness of this design doesn't even come close, in pictures, to how wonderful it is in person!

Feeling Bubbly or Feeling Blue?
My mom has this pillow/pillow case that I have seen about a thousand+ times and just recently I walked by it and had to do a double take as I decided it was great inspiration for a nail art design.

Planetary/Galaxy Nails
The inspiration:
The nails:
To begin, mix two drops of black polish with one drop of dark blue, creating almost a really dark navy color. I used L.A. Colors Art Deco in black and Pure ICE French Kiss. Swirl the two until almost completely mixed. Dot nails with a medium blue all over with a few white dots as well. I used Apple Barrel acrylic paint in White and Bright Blue.
^^ Blurry because iPhone cameras suck and pre-clean up because I am lazy and do all of the cleaning up at the end of the manicure.
Next, begin making planets, swirling and layering circles of colors in oranges, reds, greens, blues, yellows and so forth however you like. I used Apple Barrel acrylic paint in Christmas Green, Bright Red and Bright Yellow and lightened or darkened them as needed with a plain white or black acrylic paint. I also used Horizon Group craft paint brushes in sizes 1/4 and 10/0 and both the biggest size of dotting tool I had and the next to smallest size to create my planets.
^^With the first couple of planets done, still pre-clean up

Although, like myself, I realize that a lot of people forget to check back for a reply when they comment, I promise that I do read every single one and I appreciate them all. I reply to them as often as I am able. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your comment! Have a spectacular day! :)
