Lotion Bar from Koelzer Bee Farm

Bees make lotion now. In the shape of hearts and flowers. True story. I have proof.

My mom had gotten one of these lotion bars at a flea market/swap/sell type of thing from Koelzer Bee Farm and I loved it so much that she got me one too! =D I was amazed at lotion in the form of a bar! They come in all different shapes, roses, daisies, hearts etc. and in two different sizes.

The large ones, like this one, are supposed to last for about a year if used once per day. As much as I soak up lotion, though, I see this lasting only about half that amount of time. =P I have noticed that with my mom's (the smaller one), even though we have both used it, it has lasted her a really long time so far, whereas a large jar of Burt's Bees lotion, for instance, doesn't last me as long as her small lotion bar, and they're relatively the same price.

The "Once-A-Day" part is the only part I would have to disagree with (but then again, that's the same with ANY lotion). It says that it lasts all day, even after washing your hands with soap and water, but I had to reapply it. It is also a great, great, great cuticle moisturizer!! There are reports on their website from people who have used it and it works for them as a bug repellent, as well! I would assume this is because of the home-grown (homemade isn't the right word here, but I am not sure what is) bees/besswax, but I don't know for sure. However, I do know what lotion I'll be taking camping with me next summer! =P

These lotion bars are made with only four ingredients: Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Beeswax and Coconut Oil, all natural products. You can get them scented, but this one is unscented. I am not sure what scents they sell in person, but there is only one option online. These bars retail for $15 and the smaller ones for $8.

My mom also picked me up one of their lip balms in strawberry.

It, as well, is made with all natural ingredients: Beeswax, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Apricot Kernel Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Avocado Oil.

The balm has a lovely, light strawberry scent, but it is not strawberry flavored, which I actually love!

I can wear it, have the scent, but my Coke doesn't turn into a strawberry Coke. Plus I'm less likely to lick it all off of my lips since there's no flavor. =P

I love that, with these, you get a tube of balm and then some. Whereas any other lip balm I have purchased, it is level with or below the tube brand new, this one is a full (and not HALF-full like a lot of them are) with a little extra, just enough that the cap doesn't smoosh it.

The balm retails for $3 but is only $2 if you purchase a lotion bar too. (This is true of in-person purchasing, but I am not sure about online orders).

Above all, I would have to say that the Koelzer Bee Farm products have equal, if not greater quality than Burt's Bees products and for a fraction of the price. I recommend trying them out, especially the lotion bar! Come on, it's lotion, only a bar, how awesome is that!? I've never seen anything like it!

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to enter my giveaway  if you haven't already done so, it ends tonight!

Everyone have Stinging Tuesday (I know, they don't start with the same letter today, but I can't think of a bee-related word that starts with a 't')!! =)

*All products were purchased by my mother and I was not compensated in any way to review them. I only felt that their quality was sufficient enough to be worth a review.
