I Took Robin's Egg and She Got Franken Mad

I didn't think I would love this one as much as I do! I definitely like it better on the nail than in the bottle! I picked up Pure ICE Splash, looked at  it and wondered about frankening with it. So I grabbed some blues and had at it. I don't remember what all I used for this other than Splash, but it looks sort of robin's egg blue like the Crayola crayon to me. I don't have a name for it yet, but I love, love, love it! =)

I just searched Google for this image:

On to the nails:

I actually love this color so much that I am debating painting my nail polish/crafts/homework/library/etc room this color!

Or I may have to attempt at recreating this piece of art for the room instead to incorporate the color:

I love that artwork!

Anyway, a few days after applying 3 coats of this franken, I decided to jazz it up just a bit because I can never leave well enough alone and have a hard time not doing something extra to a plain color, no matter how pretty it is! =P I applied some dried flowers that I got off of eBay. My first run with dried flowers was a huge fail, so I wanted to use some smaller ones and see if I could learn to love them.

I think the flowers really springify this look! Not necessarily so fall appropriate, but that's okay. =) Sadly, I am still just not a huge fan of dried flowers. They're alright, but they aren't my favorite nail decor item!

Have you tried dried flowers? What do you think of them?

Thanks for stopping by. Everyone have wonderful weekend!! =)

That is a gorgeous blue!!!! I've never tried the flowers, they kind of scare me. I am afraid I will ruin them before I even get them on my nail!

Thanks! =D I love it a lot too!! I'm surprised I made a franken so darn gorgeous! =P

The flowers actually aren't too bad. They are fragile, but not as fragile as everyone claims. Besides, if a petal falls off, you can just pick it up and stick it back on your nail and can't tell that it was missing in the first place. I think what I don't like about them is that they become semi-see-through with topcoat on them. They're pretty, I can deal with the scratchy texture after the top coat dries, I just think they look prettier in the wheel as opposed to on the nail. But you can't NOT put on top coat. Idk... I'm still playing with them and trying to be friends with them!
I want that blue I want that blue I want that blue.... SO gorgeous!! :D

I really wish I had kept track of what I used to make it! It was three different drugstore polishes, each >$2. I am going to have to play around with them again when I get more empty bottles so I never run out of this beauty (and report the recipe, of course)! :p
it is very robins egg blue it's so pretty! I haven't tried the flowers yet they seem kinda difficult but yours look very pretty I might have to try.
