Metal Madness

About two weeks ago, I mentioned that I had gotten a set of e.l.f. polishes (and showed you Red Velvet) and Metal Madness was also in the set.

This is a really gorgeous grey almost-metallic shimmer with sparse bits of holo glitter. It was surprisingly opaque in one coat, but took a century to dry, so after 10+ minutes of waiting, I just applied a quick dry top coat. I have no idea how long it would take to dry on its own, but it was still pretty tacky and smooshy after the 10 minutes.

The set also had Golden Goddess, which I used in one of my snowflake manis and although it's not very noticeable, I may do a swatch with it to show it off on its own. It also included Mod Mauve and Royal Purple. I am going to show you Mod Mauve tomorrow, but I thought Royal Purple looked familiar. I had gotten a 3-piece set from the e.l.f. website back in August and it was in that set. I have yet to swatch it either, though (I think). =P

I'll shut up now. Onto the pictures!

Inside, no flash. This shows almost more of a blue flash than anything.

The holo is very sparse, but I don't think it would look right if it were more dense. =P

What do you think? I don't have many greys, but I love this one!! =D

I had bought the same set too from Target. It was $5. Such a great price! It's my first ELF purchase, and I havent had the chance to try it out...this is the problem when you buy polish faster than you can put it on i guess lol. I love greys and gunmentals so this color caught my eye first, now I need to hurry up and use it already!

For $5 it was a really good set. Most of the polishes were wonderful, so I am glad I got it!!
Oh that is NICE! I love the colorful sparkles showing through!

Thanks. A lot of their polishes are surprising nice for the price!
I love the e.l.f. polish sets. They are pretty nice polishes for $1 each! Metal Madness was my fave from this set :-)

If you have a Gordman's, try there, they sell some e.l.f. stuff, or their website! :D
I love the shade and finish of this polish, but I have horrible luck with the brand. Their eye shadows gave me a rash, the false eyelashes didn't stick, and their polish refused to dry. Sigh...maybe it's just my body chemistry?

Yikes! That's crazy, you may just be allergic to their stuff or not compatible with them or something. I've never had a problem with their shadow, but I did try some of their false eyelashes and they SUCKED. They wouldn't stick or anything. I suppose you could just use a fast-dry topcoat with their polishes and solve that problem? =P
I'm still on the fence with grey-I love it but not so sure I love it on my nails!!! This color looks so pretty on you though!

Thank you! =) I am still looking for the perfect grey creme. I think they look good on the nail, but not just any grey, there's a fine line between grey and muddy nastyness! =P
I love greys. This one is on my wishlist. I just wish my Target sold ELF polishes like they do everything else :(

LOOOVE. I'm such a sucker for a good grey polish, no matter the finish. I just came across your site and love it! I'm now following. :)

Thank you! Welcome! :D I really like greys too, but it's hard to find good ones!
