8 Days of Smooth & Perfect Polish - Day 1 Sea

My hubby got me the new Smooth & Perfect polishes from Sally Hansen and I immediately had to swatch one! =D

I decided to start off with the green polish from this collection because I usually get along well with greens and I guess I was just feeling sea-ish. =P

After 4 coats, I gave up on opacity. The last two coats were pretty thick with quick-dry top coat in between.

It got pretty thick, so I gave up. Next time I would definitely layer this over another color.

This was unique to my collection in that it was full of holes when I started to take it off...

I have never had a polish do this before! It didn't show through to the final coat, though.

One of the claims for this polish is that (although nails DON'T BREATHE) this is a special formula that allows 20% more oxygen to get to the nails. So I am assuming that is why it's so sheer and holey. =P

It is hard to detect, but although they look likes cremes, these polishes all have tiny shimmer to them that can almost make them look frosty or pearly in some lights, but the shimmer was hard to pick up in pictures.

Overall, I am happy with the Smooth & Perfect polishes so far. I just wish they were more opaque.

Have you tried any Smooth & Perfect's yet?

Buenos días.

The holes look to be bubbles that formed in the lower thick layers. My polish will do that if I pile on too thick coats too fast. lol

Hmmm... I was really interested in this line and was going to go get a few but I think I am going to hold off and await more of your posts on them before I grab any.

The colour is pretty on you. :)

That's what I was kind of thinking had happened, because I am impatient and just kept adding a couple coats of color then quick-dry topcoat! =P Most of the others did much better than this one!
Lovely colour! Woah, those holes are so bizarre!!

I've never had a polish do that before. I couldn't believe it when I saw them! =P
I agree with the previous commenter..looks like there wasn't enough dry-time between coats. That's why bubbles form. I bought two of these polishes a while ago and haven't used them yet. I did a test and they are really smooth but the colors are blah. I actually wanted to return them at first. I wish they had more colors than just pastels. The subtle shimmer in them is nice though!

I do wish they were more opaque. I just got impatient with this one, coz the others didn't really bubble for the most part.
looks like a green moon landscape green with those holes...lol
but I like the shade :-)

I haven't tried any of these yet...now I am not sure that I will. I do not care for sheer polishes at all! Also the colors didn't jump out at me. Maybe if they come up with some more colors I will give them a shot! The green looks pretty on you!

Thanks. :) I wish they were more opaque! I think they'd work better layered over another color, though, I want to try that out sometime and so how they fair.
I saw these at CVS and i LOVED the colors. I was thiiiiis close to getting the light blue. i think they are so pretty and elegant!

The light blue is my favorite out of the collection! It's sheer but oh so gorgeous!! xD
The holes with that color make this look like the old marble and limestone on antique buildings. Kind of cool actually!

It does kind of! Makes me want to try and achieve this accident again but paint it up and make a mani out of it! =P
Am wondering if you need to skip the base and top coat with these-I would do some research-that is awful!!!!

I've seen 2 other girls who said theirs got itty bitty pin holes in it too. So idk, maybe it's normal. It's just so weird!!
This polish was pretty... Those holes are strange. I have never seen that before.
