Retro Rainbow

I can't recall where I originally saw this design. I didn't save anything on it because it was simple enough to remember it. I do know it was on YouTube, though; but there are a lot of variations of this look all over the place!

Anyway. For this look, I used 5 of the mini L.A. Colors from one of the High Impact collections  in which all polishes were nameless. The white and black is done in acrylic paint.

I wanted to try out some of my new polishes, but then I didn't want to leave them plain (go figure, I can't ever leave a plain polish alone), so I went white this super simple design (I rarely see a "retro" design that I like, but for some reason I really love this one!):

Inside, no flash, with topcoat

Flash, with topcoat
I also thought the design looked really neat with shiny polish and matte stripes and dots, although the contrast was hard to pick up. Unfortunately acrylic paint requires topcoat, and I didn't want to matte the shiny background, otherwise, I probably would have left the design half-matte. =)

This look is so simple but I just can't stop staring at it!

The white dots with black on top kind of remind me of creepy little eye balls, though. :\ And it is definitely creepy when your nails stare back at you! =P

What do you think of "retro" designs? What's your favorite one?

Buenos días. =)
