Ruined it

Remember when I showed you Pure ICE's All Night Long the other day?

Well, I went and destroyed it with a pearl and a flakie!

I never layer, at least not with more than two total polishes, so I figured I'd give it a try. Since this was my first layering, I just used two other colors. I added a coat of Sally Hansen's South Sea Pearl, followed by a coat of Finger Paints' Twisted.

Don't judge... It's pretty horrific... Don't say I didn't warn you...

I have no idea why it looks all chunky and BLEH, but needless to say, it came off IMMEDIATELY!!

Have you ever had a layering mani go extremely wrong? I'll definitely be attempting to redeem myself in this category in the near future!

Buenos días. =)

Exactly! I hate doing that, getting so far then realizing it looked much better in the middle than at the end. I guess it's true, sometimes less is better! =P
I've had this happen before too, it's such a bummer :(

It is! Oh well, good excuse to change manis! ^.^
It's only bumpy because of the flakies. I like this!

It doesn't look good. :( I think that All Night Long is too light for flakies.

I think it's the South Sea Pearl that ruined it. Oh well. Now I know better for next time.
i layered 2 coats of not like the movies over black - terrible

It's so sad when manis go bad! Great excuse to change polish though! ^.^
It's not terrible! But I know what you mean about a mani getting out of hand. Lol!

I do it all the time! =P
I don't think it looks too bad! I go overboard all the time, I am just not brave enough to show it!

Thanks! I do it alot, too! =P
Oh I've seen worse! When you mentioned pearl I imagined chunky pearls all over your nails lol so this isn't THAT bad. I've had pleanty of bad mani experiments. I buy lots of plastic nail wheels now though and test it out on those because I got so tired of putting it on and taking it off all the time when it didnt work.

I usually try stuff out on a paper plate, but I was being lazy and didn't feel like testing it first.. Oops! =P
So sorry! But I agree with the above it doesn't even look that bad.

Yes I have had layering go horribly wrong and like you immediately took it off! Sometimes the best intentions right??

I guess I like to show them as a combo not to use or something. =P Oh well, good reason to change polish! ^.^
