I've decided to start doing end-of-the-month posts recapping my favorite manis from the month. For this first installment, I have only three looks, in order of least to most favorite:
3. This one was my first attempt at the laser mani. It was pretty, and I love rainbow looks, but there are two more that I liked a little more.

Flakies for Freedom
The base for this mani was inspired by a look done by TrailerHood Chic in which she sandwiched Finger Paints Mötley in Revlon Royal.
It was really hard to capture a good picture of it, but I loved the look of the flakies layered between the jelly so much that I had to recreate it for myself!

Is it too early to start 4th of July manicures?!
I have been LOVING the fishtail braid nails lately, so I decided to create said look as my first Indepence Day mani! ^.^
Love love love these! Except this time, I got impatient and just freehanded the last half of the braid so it would go faster! =P

Fishtail Braid
Of course I was able to do other stuff while the one nail was trying, but including base and top coats, this mani, the braid part specifically, took me 5 1/2 hours to finish! I think that is the longest I have ever spent on one!
It was totally worth it, though. I love the end result! I'm impatient and hate dry time, but I love this look so much that I want to do it in tons of different color combos!
It would have been quicker to do it freehand, but I wanted cleaner lines, so I had to wait for each color to dry before laying down and doing the next.

A Sparkly Blue Zebra
I decided to try out stamping and sponging together, and I quite like how it turned out! ^.^
I used China Glaze Some Like it Haute as a base color, and the blue on top is Sally Hansen Blue Me Away.

Glitter in the Orange Juice
Everyone has recently been pulling out the oldies but goodies from China Glaze's 2010 summer Poolside Collection, so I figured I'd join in on the fun that is blindingly bright, neon happiness.
Initially, I put one layer of Sun Worshiper over Sally Hansen Whirlwind White:

The Laser Look: Take 2
I decided to try out the rainbow laser mani again, but I think I like my first version better. ^.^
