Liebster Blog Award

I was tagged yesterday by Adventures and Mishaps in the Land of Polish for the Liebster Blog Award. Thank you so much for thinking of me!

I do already have this award, but it is the older version. So since I was tagged for the revamped award, I figured I'd do a post on it.

The rules for this award are:

1. Each person tagged much post 11 things about themselves.
2. They must also answer the 11 questions the 'tagger' has set for them.
3. They must create 11 more questions to ask bloggers they have decided to tag.
4. They must then choose 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers and tag them in their post.
5. These lucky bloggers must then be told.
6. There're no tag backs.

So, to begin with, 11 things about me:

1. My 3 year wedding anniversary is next month. It doesn't seem like it has been that long!
2. I'm also due to have a little mini polish-addict-in-the-making arrive next month!
3. I absolutely hate beer. Everyone tells me it is "an acquired taste", but I'm not sure why one would want to continuously drink something that smells like sweaty feet in order to acquire that taste for it.
4. I've debated going to school to learn more about nails, but the only one around here requires that you do everything beauty and learn to cut/style/color hair, too, which I could care less about.
5. I have a minor in Spanish and want to go back after I graduate to get a full degree in it, in additon to the one I am working towards now.
6. Along with polishing, I love knitting and arts & crafts, too.
7. I don't work. After I got married, I quit my job to focus on finishing school. I hope to get to be a stay-at-home mom for at least a year, too.
8. I only have a few more classes left before I can call myself a college graduate, and I can't wait!
9. I am an only child.
10. I am the extreme opposite of a polish snob. I hate paying more than $5 for a bottle, and could never imagine spending $15-20 on one!
11. My polish collection is like my movie collection. I have hundreds, but never anything to wear/watch!

The 11 questions from Adventures and Mishaps in the Land of Polish and my answers to them:

1. Favorite indie brand of polish?
• I actually don't own a single indie polish. So I can't really discriminate.
2. Which part of the nail art community do you hate the most?
• Stealing. There seems to have been a ton of thieving of bloggers' pictures all over the place lately, watermarks removed and/or no credit given where due!
3. One thing you want to do before you die?
• Visit Ireland
4. State/country you live in?
• U.S.
5. Any pets?
• A calico cat, and 3 dogs. 2 labs and a golden retriever.
6. Very video game?
• ...Huh? I'm not a fanatic, but there are a few video games I like. Kingdom Hearts, Mario Wii games, Wii sports games, and oldschool Nintendo games. I don't play religiously, though.
7. Favorite school subject?
• English
8. Favorite accessory not nail polish related?
• Scarves
9. Weirdest dream?
• I'm not really sure. I usually don't remember them well enough, or for very long after I wake up.
10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
• Graduated from college and possibly working towards a second degree.
11. Dream job?
• Don't really have one. Maybe something in translating or PR. A cooshy office job! =P

And my questions to you are going to be the same as the ones that I did for the 11 Questions Tag a while back because I'm just not feeling all that creative, and I liked the ones I came up with for that one:

1. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
2. If you could only use one polish (complete with multiple backup bottles of it) for the rest of eternity, which lucky gem would you choose?
3. Favorite polish finish (pearl, glitter, matte, metallic, etc.)?
4. Nail care: Honestly, when taking down nail length, do you go through the long process of solely filing, or do you sometimes first sneak those clippers out if you are taking down a lot of length (the nail gods won't strike you down if you admit it, although some bloggers might!)?
5. Nail envy: What nail shape do you wish you could pull off but either don't feel you have the guts to attempt it, or know it would, sadly, never look good on you in a million years?
6. Stash: Just to clarify, is there really such thing as "too much" or "plenty of" polish? Didn't think so... So... Has yours reached double digits or triple?
7. When discussing it with someone outside of the polish community, do you annouce said number pridefully or does in embarrass you to say that you actually own that much (or little) polish?
8. Polish envy: What is your all-time numero uno desire that, despite your love for it, is either way too expensive to purchase, or is ancient and no longer sold?
9. Nail piercings: Spectacular or horrific?
10. Is there one certain nail look/technique that you absolutely adore creating or seeing (sponge gradients, ruffians, stamping, etc.)?
11. What/Who inspired your polish obsession?
