October Favorites

This is a look I actually wore towards the end of September, but it didn't make it onto the blog until this month. I loved this one so much that I wore it for at least about a week!

Out of the three new Wet'n'Wild glitters for Halloween this year, this one is by far my favorite! It is so gorgeous with such great depth to it, but definitely requires a topcoat to maintain its beautiful shine!

1. Halloween-themed Water Marble
Especially for having not done water marbling in nearly a year, I really loved how this one turned out! The black could have been more solid at times, But I kind of like the faded effect, too! ^.^

Lastly, the nails I'm wearing for Halloween this year to match my pirate costume:

I ended up not getting around to doing them until 11:00 last night, and had a cranky baby, so I had no time to make the tape work cleaner on my pinkie and index finger. Though I think it kind of adds a little to the effect, being a bit messy. Nor did I have time for cleanup, and by the time she got to sleep, I was too worn out to even worry about topcoat so it waited until the morning, too!

I've also been trying out a new cuticle balm, Sunny's Miracle Balm from 365 Days of Color. I couldn't pass up on the Reindeer Poop just for the name! ^.^ Apparently reindeer like going around gnawing on Christmas trees and men's cologne, it has a somewhat piney smell to it, with just a hint of cologne. And the Amaretto doesn't smell so much like the alcoholic beverage as I was hoping it would, but it does still have a nice, creamy, slightly Amaretto-ish smell. I'm hoping these will work out great! I love moisturizers and am always open to trying out new ones, or even possibly incorporating them into my nail care routine!

Plus, these trials sizes are perfect to carry around! And, they are such a great deal! I got 3 little .25 ounce sample-sized jars for just under $7. Whereas the Sally Hansen (sometimes Burt's Bees instead) cuticle balm I normally use is .28 ounces for the same price. And don't even get me started on the California Mango cuticle oil I have been using! That stuff is really expensive! Although I do have a custom mix of Vitamin E oil and Jojoba oil that cost less than $5 for ingredients, has already lasted me at least a year, and is only 1/10 gone, so it's not like I have to replace the California Mango when it runs out!

Anyway... I am loving everything else about these, I have never read anything but rave reviews on this product, and the price is nearly unbeatable, so I am hoping we can be friends and they will become a staple to my daily nail maintenance!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful time whether you go out or stay in tonight! Happy Halloween!

Thanks! I'm not sure how I came up with the idea, I just decided to start doing monthly favorites one day. I'm thinking about doubling the post and adding in a few favorites from other bloggers each month too, with their permission of course.
That's a good idea! I'm so doing this too, hopefully at the end of this month. Let me know if you want to post anything of mine - I'm fine with it!
