Snowman Topcoat with Colorful Tips

For the Christmas Theme challenge of the December nail art challenge I am participating in, I cheated and did that mani early, using a glitter topcoat snowman polish. This beauty (though it was pretty hard to photograph, I tried sun, shade, indoors, and everything, it is more than evident in person) reflects some gorgeous colors: pink, purple, fuchsia, and sometimes a little orange, too.

Even at three coats, I had some visible nail line, so using a pink (Finger Paints Steal My Beating Art) and purple (essence Break Through), I decided to add some simple french tips to cover that in colors that would match its glow.

It is no secret that I hate photographing purple polishes, because it rarely goes well and I can never get them to photograph color-accurately. This one, though, was perfect! I had absolutely no problems with it! I love it!! :) This is another beauty that Meredith sent me in our swap last month; I'll definitely have to wear it as a full mani sometime, it was so smooth is a really pretty purple!

I also must mention that I discovered some of the most delicious Tic Tacs ever a while back! I love strawberry flavors, and these are like little mini strawberry smoothies, they are yummy yummy yummy! I think it took me less than 24 hours to devour the whole little box!

While I praise the Tic Tacs, though, I have to complain about Burt's Bees! There must be someone to maintain the good/bad balance, so it might as well be me. :) So... I really hate that Burt's Bees noncholontely refers to their products as "100% natural", leaving most customers to believe that they are organic and whatnot. Most people figure "organic" and "natural" basically mean the same thing, whatever, no big deal, and praise Burt's Bees and like products for such reason... No.

They may use natural products, but they do not use all organic ingredients. Sure, they aren't really misleading customers, but it seems to me that all of these "natural" products don't bother to define the differences and are okay with customers believing they are a better product than they really are. It just seems a little shady. They never claimed to be organic, but it is almost insinuated when there's lack of knowledge behind it. Know what I mean? Maybe it is just me, but I am skeptical of these brands. Burt's Bees is the only "natural" brand I have tried, and I highly doubt I will try any other. I do love their cuticle balm, though. It just irritates me that they seem to be seen as something they are not, and don't care to correct the public as that would lessen their image of greatness.

On top of that, I really hate their hand lotion. The Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme. It smells awful, not too strong, just bad (coming from someone who loves everything about both almonds and milk!), and leaves this nasty, slimy, film on my hands for hours after I apply it. Plus it does a pretty crappy job of actually moisturizing my skin! As it is so pricey, though, I don't want to throw it out, so I keep it as my desperation backup. I've had it for about a year and a half and it is just now down to being about half full (or half empty, however you prefer to see it)! Worst hand creme I have ever tried. Ever!

Anyway... Rant over. :) Everyone have a wonderful day!

Thanks!! They were pretty yummy! ^.^
I just love white, pearly nails! And your tictac tips are adorable. I use Burt's Bees cuticle balm, but that's about it. I was a devotee of their lip balm for years, then suddenly my chemistry changed and it no longer moisturized adequately. I read a while ago that "natural" and "organic" are not mutually exclusive, and that neither mean a whole lot. USDA certified organic is the only label that truly means something, if I remember correctly... like there's a certain percentage of ingredients used that have to follow USDA guidelines. At any rate, Burt's Bees isn't really for me, either, except for that cuticle balm. ;)

I love the colorful tips! And the only Burt's Bees product I like is the cuticle stuff. I've tried hand cream, chapstick and foot stuff and it never seemed to work out too well for me!

Thanks! Their chapstick is alright, I just can't get past the smell of the hand cream!

I love the snowman bottles, too! And the pumpkins! They're too cute!!
Ohh that snowman topcoat is amazing! Yeah I will not lie I am not a fan of BB's because of the pricing and I feel personally it isn't worth it. I have the cuticle balm it's bitching but so is the Badger cream one and despite all of that you could never convince me to part with my beloved lemony flutter or mango nails which are the two most hydrating cuticle treatments I own ;) I'd just throw that freaking hand lotion out too I hate using up something that gives me the skivs or pass it on to someone who actually likes their products ;)

Thanks! I love it! I'd like to try the Badger cuticle cream. I've heard so many good things about it, but no idea where to buy it!
