Subtle Pink Gradient

I chopped my nails off in December. No real reason. I didn't have a break or anything, just felt like it. I usually prefer nails on the shorter side, and I loved them the last time I cut them this short. I'm not so sure this time, though...

Regardless, I have gotten through all of my scheduled posts that got pushed back due to the nail art challenge I completed last month, so now I finally have some fun stuff to show with my new nubbins.

I started off with e.l.f. Light Pink and created a rather subtle gradient using it and e.l.f. Bubble Gum Pink.

I just love how light, and delicate, and pretty these turned out! Especially on my teeny baby nails! ^.^

Oooooh I LOVE this! I'm a sucker for pale pinks. I've never tried any e.l.f polishes but this combo is gorgeous

Thanks!! For being a cheap brand, their polishes seem to be really good from my experience!
That is really subtle, but beautiful!

Thanks! I've been loving subtle looks lately!
Oh I love your nails this length!!!! Of course, I would prefer a gradient in any color BUT pink-but that's just me!!! :)

Hehe. I figured you wouldn't like the pink! =P Gradients are one of my favorites!
I'm sorry I haven't been commenting lately. I got caught up in following blogs and was overwhelmed with how many posts I got behind on. So I unfollowed from 722 down to 250!!! Now it's more manageable! I want to focus on the people and blogs I like!!
Wow! That's a huge cut! I need to go through and do the same sometime!
Very cute your ombre nails :)

Thank you! I'm so indecisive. I cut them short then look at pics of them long and like them. When I let them grow, I think they look nasty and love seeing pics of them short! Hahaha
This is so lovely and lady-like! I think your nails look fabulous at this length!

Thank you! The more I see them, the cuter they look kinda! ^.^

I understand the need to shorten nails - did the same two days ago with no apparent reason (like break), but mine are painted very dark grey with hint of silver (personally I don't like long dark nails, they often look too vampy). But the next manicure it's going to be mannequin hands and yours are perfect example how stunning subtle polish can be on short nails. And even pink is not my favourite color your gradient looks gorgeous. Definitely something to recreate :) .

Thank you! :) I love dark colors on short nails, too! It's a gorgeous look! Mannequin hands/nudes are one of my favorite looks on short nails, too!

Your nails hunted me - I remove my dark grey and done a variation on your subtle gradient with skin-toned polishes (slightly less pink than yours). That is first time, when blog mani sneak up on me like that (and I observe A LOT of nail-releted blog)!
So glad I can be inspiring! ^.^ I have been wanting to do a nude gradient. I have only see it done once but they are so pretty! What polishes did you use?

My lighter one is Inglot 715 - flesh-looking semi matt beige/taupe-pink, which without top coat really look like mannequin nails. On tips - small local brand, kinda vintage dusty rose with a hint of beige.
Do you have a blog?

No, I'm just an amateur with no time to blog. I even considered having a blog - because I do paint my nails few times a week - but I also read more than 100 books a month, cooks on daily basis and work as a freelancer... LOL to many things to juggle. But I like to praise blogpost that I really like :) .
It does take a lot of work! I love having a nail blog, I just wish I had more time to devote to it!

I admire people, who can commit to blogging, because I can imagine the amount of work that is put into. For me even painting my nails take some time - 'cause I like them to be neat and do a lot of nail art, just for fun, for stress relief, manual rehabilitation (have some problems in manual division, so that's part of an explanation, why it takes me some time :D ). It's also a creative outlet, when you have no time for bigger projects.
So I applaud you and will gladly see what you'll come up with next.
Thank you! :) I haven't had a ton of time for nail art with a 3 month old baby, so I've just been doing a lot of swatches, but I hope I can start getting in some nail art more often! It takes me a while, too, because I like to be neat and meticulous!
that is one absolutely gorgeous gradient Amber! :)

Those are NOT teeny baby nails!! haha. That's actually my perfect, favorite length. I love this gradient. I already told you on instagram, but this is so perfect it looks like Sammy's from Nailasaurus. I wish mine were this smooth. Maybe I should try a more subtle color combo.. cuz this looks simply stunning.

Thanks! Haha. When my nails are long, I love them short. When they're short, I love them long. I still haven't found my happy medium, I guess.
