Drag Marble Hearts Fail

My first attempt at a Valentine's Day mani didn't go so well... It's not the colors (China Glaze Def Defying and Nail Art by Diamond Cosmetics Urban Legend), I wanted to be nontraditional .. It is the drag marbling. I was attempted to make hearts... Eh.

I tried multiple times and just couldn't get them to come out right, so I gave up on it.

Oh well! Hopefully I'll have something stellar for tomorrow! :)

I guess we both need some practice with drag marbling! :) It's probably the technique I am worst at!

I love the color combo you picked here - it's so unique! I tried this technique and my hearts turned into blobs and butts. I give you props for posting it though - I know I certainly would not :)

Haha thanks! Yea I definitely need to practice this technique! I've seen some turn out wonderful and look like hearts, but I just couldn't make it work.

I tried this last year without success, but I was using a fast speed dry base coat. I'm willing to give it another go, maybe they have to be extra special polishes or something?

I tried a spiderweb looking drag marble with two China Glaze's once and it worked out really well.

I think it looks great actually! I love the colors and the abstract look of it. The hearts sort of look like they are melting..you could say it represents the phrase "melts your heart" :)
