Night Owls

I love doing owl nails! This is my third attempt (see one and two) and I love them even more than the first two!

I did a swap with another nail chick, beans_nails, on Instagram and she sent me a mini of one of her indie polishes: Once in a Blue Moon. Currently she has three other polishes, a star and holo glitter topper, a gold glitter, and a pearl white with neon rainbow glitter, and some cute crochet apparel in her Etsy shop if you're interested in checking it out!

I immediately had to swatch this one and it reminded me of a starry night sky!

So I got out some various greys to go along with the darkness: China Glaze Recycle, China Glaze Concrete Catwalk, L'Oreal Greycian Goddess, Sinful Colors Ardoise, Sinful Colors Smokin, and Sinful Colors Cool Grey. I free-handed a deep, half-moon, added a belly with a different grey, and feathers with yet another different grey so each owl had three greys.

I wanted their eyes to really pop and stand out, so out came the neon acrylic paints and dotting tools!

I just love these little guys, they're so cute! ^.^
