Born Pretty Store - Lace Stamping Plate QA72 Review

I've used quite a few stamping plates from Born Pretty Store in the past, and today I have another one. This time it is plate QA72. It has some lacy images on it, and a few little angels that look like maybe they're supposed to be cupids, but I'm not entirely sure.

As is typical with BPS stamping plates, there's no backing. Instead, they have a blue film on the front and back of the plate that peels off cleanly and easily in one piece. So the plate is a little sharp, but I put a non-slip backing on all of my plates, anyway, so it doesn't bother me.

The images seem to be etched nicely. They're not too shallow, and I love the lacy images because I am terrible at freehand painting lace designs, so this is a great alternative for just $2.99 USD!

I tried stamping some of the lace designs over the Born Pretty Store holo polish that I showed you on Wednesday. I tried to go for a shadowed stamping look, using the BPS blue and white special stamping polishes, but I wasn't able to pull it off very well!

The lace images stamped really well. They all came out clean and full, but I wasn't able to get any of the Cupid guys to pick up entirely. I was always missing a leg or wing or something, and had tried each one twice, with two different polishes. I'm not too worried about that, though, since I really just wanted the plate for the lacy ones.

Please ignore the fact that I clearly cannot roll a stamper straight. I still need practice with that!

I tried a second design over Zoya Mitzi and Born Pretty Store's black stamping polish. This mani would have been really cute if, again, the stamps had been straight!

If you want a plate with lace designs that stamps well, I definitely recommend this one!
