Twinsie Tuesday - YouTube Tutorial

For today's theme, we have to do nails inspired by a YouTube tutorial.

I've been seeing the block reciprocal gradient-like, inverted stripey, taping mani look everywhere and I actually kind of liked it, so I decided to give it a go.

I watched this tutorial from Jaunty Juli for a little how-to.

Needless to say, mine did NOT turn out as awesome as hers! I should have used more opaque polishes instead of having to go over the same area two or three times, but I suppose they could have been worse! Maybe it's the colors I picked (orange - Sinful Colors Clementine, yellow - Sinful Colors Pull Over), idk.

I like this look and I like the idea of it, but just not on me. I can't do stripes very well. I like the crazier inverted look on my thumb better, actually. So I love this design on others, but I doubt I'll be attempting it again. I just don't love stripes on me. At all. Nails, clothes, nada. Never have.
