I did fish scale nails in March (see that post here) using loose glitters to fill in some of the scales. This time, I just filled in one scale on each nail with silver glitter.
My base for these nails is three coats of Sally Hansen Mermaid's Tale. I had been debating on getting Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe, but decided on this much cheaper dupe instead! And I'm glad I did, because I don't absolutely love it as much as I thought I would, so I couldn't justify spending so much on the DL!
This polish screams "aquatic" to me, so I added the scales with some white paint and called it a day.
What do you think? Similar enough to not make the DL worth it? Yea, that's what I was thinking too. :)
