I've always wanted to do newspaper nails since the fad began years ago. I never got around to it, though.
A while later, I was given a Fing'rs kit with water decals, one of them being a newspaper decal. So I started thinking about ways I could use that decal to do newspaper nails, but I wanted something not so traditional and plain. Enter this idea!
How cool do these look?! I am so in love with them!!
I put the decals over a light grey polish from the same kit, then removed a few spots here and there with a Q-Tip and acetone. To give the missing spaces more of a burnt look, I sponged Wet'n'Wild Casting Call, Zoya Nina, and Zoya Raven around the edges, added a tiny amount of loose red glitter after a while, then finished them off with a matte topcoat.
The kit I used also has a road map decal (which you've seen me use before here), and a funky, rainbow chevron decal.
Sorry for my absence in reading/commenting/posting lately! I'm afraid it is going to be pretty common in the upcoming month because we are getting ready to move! I'm excited, but it is definitely taking a lot of time and taking away from the blog.
I am going to have a few guest posts scheduled while I am moving (and going on vacation!), and I'll have my own posts scheduled throughout, but I won't be around as much to interact with everyone!
Hopefully it won't take long to get our internet going once we are moved, and I can settle back into the routine of things!
