Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by Nature

I always thought swatches of Sally Hansen Lava looked awesome, so I finally caved and made it my own. Then when I saw this design from Adventures in Acetone, I knew it would be perfect for a replicate molten lava rock mani!

I started with a base of Lava, then added OPI 4 in the Morning, and Ulta Smoke Screen, and finished off with a matte topcoat. I only let each layer dry for a few seconds before adding the next, then let them all sit for a couple minutes before pushing holes with a dotting tool and my finger in the polish. This pulled away some of the red, so I filled that back in and applied Seche Vite over just the lava.

They didn't turn out as amazing as I had envisioned, but I still thought they looked kind of neat! ^.^

Of course, don't forget to check out what everyone else did this week!

Very interesting, I especially like the way the index finger turned out.
