Twinsie Tuesday - Biggest Splurge

I ran out of time to create a fresh mani for today's theme. Instead, I thought I'd do a little throwback re-share of a few designs.

I've never spent an astronomical amount of money on a single polish before, but I did receive Butter London Marrow as a gift and bought Illamasqua Phallic with a $10 off coupon, so I guess I would consider them my "biggest" high-dollar polishes.

For starters, a year and a half old swatch of Illamasqua Phallic:

Black Holo Foil Nails

Doesn't that look so awesome?!

It's this nail foil (#76) from Born Pretty Store. Let's see how it looks on the nail....

For my "swatch", I left the foil plain on my index and middle nails, and added one coat of Seche Vite to my ring finger and pinky.

Twinsie Tuesday - Neutral

Quick post for today (and the second time ever that my right hand has been seen here)! I did a beachy wave inspired design with some Bio Seaweed Gel polishes in dark and light blue, and a neutral nude for this theme.

Granny Smith Apples

I'm sure you're as sick as I am of seeing apple manis lately. Especially with the back-to-school season. I have a good explanation for mine, though, and it has nothing to do with education!

I ordered some polishes from Nail Honey, and when I received them, this particular polish was calling to me the most: Moth Amor. When I began putting it on my nails, it immediately screamed "Granny Smith apple" to me, so I had to oblige, and create some delicious apples with it.

For starters, I needed three thin coats to make this polish opaque. It dried quickly, though, without a bubble in sight! It applied evenly, smooth, and was all-around great to work with.

Alphabet Glitters

I received alphabet glitters from Born Pretty Store to try. I searched through the 12 jars of glitters (although I was able to condense mine into five jars) and could only find two different colors for each letter. I was lacking in creativity and decided to do a simple "NLL" for Nails Like Lace.

Rainbow Palm Tree Print Nails

I organized an Instagram collab to do rainbow palm tree print manis inspired by a shirt. It was quite a while ago, but I have finally found time to do a blog post on the nails.

Simple Bird Silhouettes

I wanted to wear Nail Honey Blurred Lines with some quick and simple nail art to match the simple, soft shimmer in the polish; so I decided to do a few bird silhouettes as they begin to fly south for the winter (wish I was joining them).

Seahorse Silhouettes on Neon Gradient

On a whim, I decided I wanted to paint some seahorses. So I painted a seahorse, then another seahorse, then I decided the seahorses were love seahorses and added some hearts. I just kept going until I had a full underwater silhouette scene.

OPI You're so Vain-illa + Vanilla Flower

With vanilla in the name, and being the absolute perfect vanilla shade, I wanted to try my hand at a vanilla flower using OPI You're so Vain-illa.

For my first shot, I was fairly pleased with the result.

Twinsie Tuesday - Summer to Fall Transition Polish + Untriedicure #13

I was looking at some untried Avons for this mani but couldn't decide between Jade and Blossom. With the one polish called Blossom, and since I've never done them before, I thought a cherry blossom design would be cute.
