Granny Smith Apples

I'm sure you're as sick as I am of seeing apple manis lately. Especially with the back-to-school season. I have a good explanation for mine, though, and it has nothing to do with education!

I ordered some polishes from Nail Honey, and when I received them, this particular polish was calling to me the most: Moth Amor. When I began putting it on my nails, it immediately screamed "Granny Smith apple" to me, so I had to oblige, and create some delicious apples with it.

For starters, I needed three thin coats to make this polish opaque. It dried quickly, though, without a bubble in sight! It applied evenly, smooth, and was all-around great to work with.

The apple accent nail is a base of Zoya Destiny. I added a bit of highlighting inside the Moth Amor apples with China Glaze Tree Hugger, and used Grass is Lime Greener for the leaves.

Is that not a perfect Granny Smith apple green?! Look at that yummy shimmer!

I think my absolute favorite part of these polishes is the little bee on the top of the lid! They are the cutest!!

Do you know what this really made me think of? In The Yellow Submarine cult movie the Green Apple Bonkers! That polish has such a beautiful inner glow. I love it. I can see how the apple mani came from this. What a beautiful mani it is! I love the background color of apple red that you did on the artsy nail. This is one of the prettiest versions of an apple mani I've seen yet. I am in love with that green polish though...
