Playing around with layering the same stamped image a few times, I came up with this fun floral look.

Leesha's Lacquer - Minnesota Nice Collection
Today I have swatches of a new-to-me indie brand called Leesha's Lacquer. This is her Minnesota Nice collection. Of five polishes, there are two glitter toppers that can be built to opacity on their own, and three colored shimmer polishes with sparkle.
Being from the Midwest myself, I love seeing a collection inspired by my area of the country! Since these dry semi-matte for the most part, all of my swatches are shown with a coat of Seche Vite glossy topcoat.

Nail Butter Review
As promised, here is my review of a product that has been popping up all around the nail community lately - Nail Butter.
What is Nail Butter? In summary, it is a 100% natural cuticle moisturizer (it can be used all over, it is not just limited to hands), made on a farm in Athens, Georgia. Their entire faq page is here.
Let's jump right into it, shall we?

Care Bear Nail Art Collab
I participated in another collab with the girls from the My Little Pony collaboration. This time, we did Care Bears.
I started on a white base and painted 10 of the bears' belly symbols, all bunched together.

Mommy's Mani Monday: Matte & Shiny Combo - Royal Blue with Flash Tattoos
Welcome to another Mommy's Mani Monday! This time, our theme is matte and shiny combo.
I used one coat (one coat!!) of Parrot Polish Sea Star, and just added some knockoff flash tattoos to three nails (those got a shiny topcoat, the others a matte), and around a couple of my fingers. Voilà, a super simple, but blingy and pretty design!

Invisible Water Marble
Now you see it.... now you don't!
I used a temperature-change polish from Born Pretty Store and Zoya Perrie to create this look.
When it is warm, the thermal polish is nearly the same color as the Zoya, so the water marble design disappears and only shows up when my nails are cold!

Finger Fruits
I was really excited to use the Y004 stamping plate from Born Pretty Store! I loved all the fruit images on it, and that they looked more on the realistic side rather than cartoony. I've been eyeing the plate for months, so I'm glad I finally got a chance to play with it!
I started off with the scented Crayola polishes as my base colors (from thumb to pinky - Green Apple, Orange, Grape, Bubble Gum, and Blueberry). I made stamping decals with the images: stamped them in black and filled them in while on the stamper with a bunch of different colors. Then when that was dry, I peeled it off the stamper and placed it on my nail.

The Digit-al Dozen does Geometrics: Day 5 - Triangular Swirls
It is the last day of the Digit-al Dozen geometric week! I kept it simple for my last look: a base of Creative Cuticles Shark Bait (I love the holo sparkle in it!), and I freehanded some quick, triangular swirls on top with Sally Hansen Rapid Red.

The Digit-al Dozen does Geometrics: Day 4 - Neon Infinite Triangles
This Digit-al Dozen week has really flown by! Today I have my fourth geometric look: neon infinite triangles.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Geometrics: Day 3 - Triangles on Triangles
I've been feeling triangular this week. I've worked them into all of my DD geometric manis!
Today's is a simple, black and white triangles on triangles look using acrylic paint and Rimmel's French tip white striper.

The Digit-al Dozen Does Geometrics: Day 2 & Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by Artwork - Retro Color Block
Welcome to Day 2 of The Digit-al Dozen week! Today is also Twinsie Tuesday, so I have a combo mani! I did another geometric nail art for DD, but it was inspired by artwork for TT.
I did a retro-looking color block mani for both of today's themes.

Anonymous Lacquer: Rainbow Brights Collection
I have swatches of Anonymous Lacquer's Rainbow Brights collection! The collection consists of five colored polishes, all containing a different colored shimmer, and one holographic topcoat. Besides the topcoat, I needed two medium-thickness coats to make all of them opaque. They were all a little streaky on the first coat, but were very smooth and easy to apply. They all dried to a matte finish, and therefore dried very quickly.
The collection releases May 15th, 2015 here.
The Digit-al Dozen Does Geometrics: Day 1 - Fred Flintstone
The Digit-al Dozen is back! This week, we are doing geometric manis. When I think geometric, one of my first thoughts is Fred Flintstone's clothes. So that's what I went with to kick off the week!

Thermal Gradient & Nautical Stamping
I kept the same mani from my previous post, and added some nautical stamping to it using plate BP-23 from Born Pretty Store!
Green/Yellow Thermal Gradient
For this color-changing gradient mani, I used Born Pretty Store's thermal yellow to green polish #101, and Wet'n'Wild's Do Pass Go.

Nail Glam by Jovee Co.'s Monthly Subscription Polish Box: Swatches & Water Marble Nail Art
Today I have another new-to-me polish brand review to share.
I was contacted and asked to try a trio of Nail Glam by Jovee Co. polishes. They are a 5-Free brand made in the U.S.A.
I received one of their monthly subscription boxes, so that's what I'll be showing you today: a swatch of each polish, and a water marble nail art accented with 3D seashells and pearls at the end.
For starters, the box is girly and pretty! It is a really unique setup and display for the bottles, plus there is a fun quote on the bottom. I'm not sure if this is the box style every month, but I really like how creative it is as opposed to a couple polishes just wrapped in bubble wrap and tossed in a plain box with some packing peanuts.

April Showers Bring May RAINBOW Flowers
My most recent Instagram nail art collaboration was "Rainbow Floral". This is the mani I did as my contribution to the collab.

LOOK Nail Color: LOOK Proud Collection
I was recently contacted by a new-to-me, 5-Free company called LOOK Nail Color, and asked to review a few of their polishes.
A little background info about the company from their website:
LOOK Nail Color is not just another brand – it’s an amazing Nail Color with a purpose….a “LOOK”!!
Our formulas deliver the best coverage with a superior long-lasting performance.
LOOK shades are formulated for nail art, with outstanding shine and brilliance, as well as, for those of you who just want COLOR.
Our LOOK’s are simple and easy-to-do, making it possible for anyone to create them.
What I found the most unique about the brand is how they market their collections: Each collection is a different "look". For instance, they have one collection called LOOK Glitzy, which consists of gold, silver, and black polishes. Another is called Made You LOOK, and it has black, white, and turquoise polishes. So I enjoy how they incorporate the word "look" into their collection names!
The trio they sent me is called LOOK Proud. So let's see if these live up to their claim, shall we?

Twinsie Tuesday: Jelly Sandwich - Green and Holo
I can't believe it is already Tuesday again! That means another Twinsie Tuesday post!
This week's prompt is to create jelly sandwich manis. I chose two polishes fairly randomly with no real thought to them or final view in mind: one of my DIY sheer tinting jelly polishes made with green highlighter ink, and KBShimmer Flake Dance (minus the snowflake glitters).

Mommy's Mani Monday: Recreate - Retro Dotticure
The prompt for today's Mommy's Mani Monday was to recreate a look from another MMM member.
I chose this mani from Jen. I needed something I could get done quickly, and I absolutely loved her color combo for a dotticure!

My Little Pony Nails

I couldn't choose just one pony, so I picked five and painted their symbols: Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight Sparkle.

Springy & Blingy Drag Marble
Marbles are one of my favorite go-to forms of nail art since they take very little effort but can look interesting and detailed. So let's kick off May with a quick and easy drag marble shall we?
