Twinsie Tuesday: Flag Nails - Glitzy Bumble Stripes

You may have noticed an absence of Twinsie Tuesday posts last month. The group took a break during the month and have rejoined to start posting again today! 

For our first group theme back, we did nails inspired by the flag of our birth country, home state, etc. Being a Missourian, I decided to go with the state college Mizzou colors and did some simple gold and black bold stripes. I'm not a fan of football or any sports, but an American flag feels too Fourth of July to me for September, and the Missouri state flag is just more than I wanted to even attempt right now! So I settled for simple.

I sponged a couple of coats of Ruby Wing Ride Em Cowgirl for my gold, and used a Wet'n'Wild black for the horizontal stripes.

The Ruby Wing polish is solar powered and changes to a pretty blood red. I did my nails at night, so I didn't get the chance to get a shot of the full changing effect, but my LED gel polish curing light changed them to a slight red color and gave them a rosy gold tone.
