Twinsie Tuesday: Ocean Nails - Zombie Skin and Mermaid Scales

It is Twinsie Tuesday again! This week, we did ocean themed manis, and I wanted to wear Revlon Whimsical since it was sitting in my untrieds. It looks like a bunch of pretty glitters in a base of liquid zombie flesh.... but I was hoping maybe fish scales would make some improvements. The polish was too thin to bother, I had to sponge on half a dozen coats for even a resemblance of opacity. But anyway, my mermaid lives in this TT ocean, hints her fishy, infectious tail here.

I have a feeling everyone did better than me this week! Haha! Let's see:

Its too bad the polish was hard to apply to make it opaque but I think you did the best you could here and it still looks pretty great :)

Thank you! Yea after one use I have a fill line that looks like I've used it 10 times or more! Haha!
I actually like the look of it but it's a pity the polish wasn't more opaque.

Thanks! I think it would look better as a topper!
love your vision of a mermaid with zombie skin. I always layer Whimsical over something.

Thanks! It doesn't yuck up the base color?!
I remember when this polish came out and everyone made such a fuss over it! That and the purple glitter in the black base.

Yea I always wanted it because of the hype.... So not worth it!
Your description of this polish is cracking me up!

It really is so horrid! Hahaha!
I remember the base being more blue when it came out. It was such a big deal because they duped a Deborah Lippmann. I like it. It kind of looks like sand with glitter in it!
Oh how I love Whimsical!! But yeah, it's no use trying to get fully opacity on its own. I love wearing it over sky blue.
