This week's Mommy's Mani Monday theme was to create a mani inspired by your favorite book. I had a hard time choosing, but kept going back to one particular Stephen King book - Rose Madder. I feel like it is one of his more underrated novels and my absolute favorite from him! I've read it more times than I know, I'm just waiting on a movie version now!
For my base I used Ginger + Liz (only because I found it on clearance at Ulta for a couple bucks - judging by this one, I will never pay full price for that brand) Sam-Poole Sale (three annoying coats of sheer poo with a crap brush) topped with Whim This Calls for Cava. For the roses I used Sinful Colors Energetic Red swirled with LOOK Rocket's Red Glare, plus white, then Sinful Colors Calypso (toned down with white for two shades) for the leaves. All accented with some rectangular gold studs and finished with Seche Vite.
