The Mommy's Mani Monday group has done Mani Orders before (see here), and it was such a blast we wanted to do it again! This time around Alicia gave me my prompt of "reverse stamping".
I started with Zoya Jacqueline, and Color Club Fondue for Two water colored over it, then used a thickened black L.A. Colors polish and plate BPL-025 to stamp this cute baby chick/bird print. I'm not 100% sure what they are, but they're cute! I used a bunch of bright pastel colors to fill them in:
- China Glaze Dance Baby (pink)
- Julep Hayden (orange)
- Sinful Colors VIPeach (yellow)
- LOOK Nail Color Pistachio (green)
- China Glaze For Audrey (blue)
- Ulta Tutu Cute (purple)
This mani was more labor-intensive than I presumed, I spent probably an hour on the chicks alone! I really like how it turned out, though! At the end of this post I have a quick phone shot I took before I added the brown water coloring, and now I wish I'd left it that way because I actually like it better with a plain beige base! Regardless, now my nails are ready for spring, so that'll urge it to get here quicker, no?!
And of course, matte topcoat all the things right?! I couldn't resist.

Which do you think looks better? Plain base or watercolor base?
Thanks for stopping by!
