Scratchy Marble: Coral & Peach

Today's mani was a complete mistake and somewhat experimental.

I started out mixing a couple colors on my silicon mat for a tie dye challenge mani, and as it was drying, it was pulling off the mat. I ended up letting it dry too much and made a huge mess, so I got annoyed with it and just started scribbling around in the polish with my orange wood stick, which was leaving empty spaces in the polish.

That gave me the idea to spread the polish thin on the mat, randomly scratch around at it as it dried, then topcoat it and cut it up as a decal!

I'm not sure if I love this, or even remotely like it, but I think this is an interesting technique to play with. I've got another plan for one in the works just because it is actually a lot of fun to do!

For this one, I just mixed colors (Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and Flower First Bloom I think, but I don't remember for sure so don't quote me on that!) until I got the corally orange color, and used that over a base of Julep Hayden.

Enjoy! And let me know what you think if you try this out!

Actually, I really DO like this effect! Some of the best inventions were simply accidents.
