Mint Octopus and Wood Grain Nails

Welcome July! I've so enjoyed the warm weather and outdoor activities with my family!

For the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge this week, I went with the "Seaside" chunk of the theme. I pinned this image and used it as my inspiration.

I started with OPI That's Hula-rious! and followed the inspiration image, mapping out my octopus and filling in the background with OPI Bronzed to Perfection (mixed with a little white to get two different shades for a wood grainesque look). I watered down Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Shimmer Blue for that nearly undetectable shading on the octopus.

I am so thrilled with how this turned out! More adorable than I ever expected it to be!
