My third Digit-al Dozen of the week is inspired by that cool scratch and reveal paper I used to love as a kid. Ya know that black paper that when you scratched the surface would show beautiful rainbow colors underneath? That fun stuff!
So I started with a solid base of Rica Blackout, then used rose nail vinyls by What's Up Nails which were provided to me for review by Nail Polish Canada.
Unfortunately I got a bubbly end result since I didn't melt the roses down on to my nail enough, but I love how this turned out!
I stuck the decals to my silicon mat,
Colored them in with a teeny brush and a rainbow of Wet'n'Wild pastels:
- Re: In Carnation
- Sun Settle Down
- Bee-U-Tiful
- Green Tease
- Sky Me Mine
- Lavender Out Loud
Then peeled the vinyl off. I love the big, easy-to-find tabs at either end of the design, they make it a breeze to find an edge and pull up the vinyl without messing up your hard work!
Topcoat and treat it as a decal, peeling and sticking it to a tacky-polished nail, melting the edges down with acetone before topcoating again.
This was a fun one to do! These vinyls yield effortlessly beautiful flowers!
Of course thank you to Nail Polish Canada for generously sending me some vinyls to play with, and don't forget to check out all the other Digit-al Dozen ladies' fab "paper" themed manis below!
